and a range of must-sees and
must-buys.
Robbie Sherman is in
charge of sales. She says pro-
ceeds go to support college Hil-
lels and BBYO chapters for
Jewish high schoolers.
Why buy from the Network?
"We deliver," Ms. Sherman
says. "It's just a service we offer.
A lot of people sell entertain-
ment books. It's easier for a
working person to say, 'I want
one. Will you deliver it to my
house?' "
The books are $40 and checks
may be made payable to "Lead-
ership Network of B'nai B'rith."
Send, with your phone number,
to Robbie Sherman, 1250 Em-
mons, Birmingham, MI 48009;

it?" Ms. Hernos wants to know.
So does the EYE spy.
Ms. Kay, 33, says both she
and her husband are "very, very
hyper. How do you get a house
clean? You run around like a nut
and clean it up." As for the kids
— Zachary, Daniel, Sam and
Lindsay — they each have
chores of their own.
Tipped off by Ms. Hernos,
the EYE spy would like to send
out congrats to Michael, 31, who
has become the first person at
Pioneer Life (in business since
1927) to sell a million dollars
worth of insurance in less than
a year.
Incidentally, for all you SJMs
and SJFs, the Kays defied those
lox 'n' bagel circuit odds by meet-
ing and falling in love at a JCC
"Break The Fast Dance." So quit
your kvetching about striking
out at these always-the-same-
faces Yid fests, because you nev-
er know.

Stages And Airwaves
Tune in to WBFH (88.1 FM)
any Tuesday night from 10 to
11:30 p.m. and you're bound to
hear the "Biff Rock Cafe,"
featuring host Paul Gaba, a na-
tive of Bloomfield Township,
now living in Waterford and
working as the assistant station
manager for Bloomfield Hills
School District radio, broad-
casting throughout Oakland
County.
Mr. Gaba, 31, describes his
show as a mix of comedy (e.g.
lots of Monty Python clips)
and music: rock, pop and
soul, all 1955-1985 Top 40 tunes
and songs that never hit the
charts.
On Nov. 7, starting at 10 p.m.,
The Schugars, a homegrown
brother-sister-friends group
from Oak Park, will perform
its repertoire of alternative mod-
ern rock originals live on "The
Biff."
"I've heard them before," Mr.
Gaba says, "and I think they're
incredible, one of the best bands
I've heard in a long time."

book on a first date?
Ms. Sherman: "I never even
thought about it. Maybe it
wouldn't be the right move for
a first or second date, but if
you've been dating someone for
a while, why would it be a prob-
lem?"
