America

ony-Award winning Angels in
America begins a limited-run show-
ing in Detroit this week.
Its many-stories-in-one format
explores a religious couple confronting a mar-
ital breakup, the problems of suburban drug
addiction, Washington's explosive power cir-
cles and gay lovers facing AIDS
The two-part play, Part 1: Mil-
Angels in
America on
lennium
Approaches and Part 2:
stage at the
Fisher.
Perestroika, are presented on a
rotating repertory schedule, giv-
ing the audience an opportunity to see "An-
gels" in its entirety or as two separate plays.
Angels in America opens Oct. 31 at the Fish-
er and runs through Nov. 5.
