"You've Gotta Have Art"

ne of the largest American art
exhibitions ever assembled
opens today at the Toledo Mu-
seum of Art.
"Made in America: Ten Centuries of
American Art" traces the panorama of

America through 160 paintings, pho-
tographs, sculptures and other works
of art spanning 1,000 years of Ameri-
can visual history.
The three-month-long exhibition fea-
tures some of the nation's most cele-

brated artists, including Andy Warhol,
Frank Lloyd Wright, Georgia O'Keeffe,
Ansel Adams, John Singleton and
Robert Rauschenberg.
"Made in America" represents not
only the most prominent, but also the

lesser-known artists whose works have
enriched our nation's cultural history.
The museum, located at 2445 Mon-
roe St., is just west of downtown Tole-
do, one block off 1-75. Exit signs are
posted.
