Daren G. Kest were recently
married at the Ritz Carlton in
Dearborn. Rabbi Sherwin Wine
of the Birmingham Temple offi-
ciated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Michael McCarthy
of Commerce Township. The
groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Malcolm Kest of Hana,
Hawaii.

Amy Elizabeth Schomer and
Alexander Ari Greenbaum were
recently married at the Amway
Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand
Rapids. Officiating were Rabbi
Michael Rascoe of New York,
Rabbi Edward Feld of Los Ange-
les, and Rabbi David Nelson and
Cantor Samuel Greenbaum of
Congregation Beth Shalom in
Oak Park.
Amy is the daughter of Fred
and Sharon Schomer of Grand
Rapids. Alex is the son of Cantor
Samuel and Mona Greenbaum
of West Bloomfield.
Marcy Aschenbrener, sister of
the bride, was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Shira and
Ilana Greenbaum, sisters of the
groom, Mani Batler, Beam Dick-
ler, Katherine Landry, Lisa
Robinson, Beth Schomer and

Bari Weisman. Erin Landry was
flower girl. The best man was
Jason Kofender. Groomsmen
were Daniel Aschenbrener,
brother-in-law of the bride, David
Bernard, Jeff Blackman, Adam
Fishkind, Jason Ingber and
David Kam.
Also in the wedding party were
the bride's grandmother, Minnie
Schear of St. Louis, and the
groom's grandfather, Monroe Lei-
bowitz. Holding the chupah were
Harvey Liebhaber and Paul
Schomer, uncles of the bride, and
Sheldon Lichtenstein and
William Greenbaum, uncles of
the groom.
Following a honeymoon in
Hawaii, the couple reside in Man-
hattan where both are fifth year
rabbinical students at the Jew-
ish Theological Seminary.
