Couples Club
Event Set

On Saturday evening, Oct. 7, the
Temple Israel Couples Club will
hold their opening event for the
1995-1996 year. The theme for
this program is a Monte Carlo
Affair, featuring an evening of
dining, entertainment and
prizes. The event will take place
at Morels on Telegraph Road in
Bingham Farms.
For more information about
participating in this event, or to
join Temple Israel's Couples
Club, please call Michelle and

Metro Detroit's Hottest Banal!

Congregation Shaarey Zedek is
hosting Kitchen Table, a morn-
ing class for moms and their ba-
bies. The series covers the
different developmental stages
of babies, infant CPR, health is-
sues, making decisions as a par-
ent, Jewish celebrations, and
songs. Sue Seidman leads the
class on Thursdays, Oct. 26-Dec.
7, at 9:30 a.m. at Shaarey Zedek-
Southfield. Babysitting is avail-
able by reservation.
At the SZ-B'nai Israel Par-
enting Center, new classes are
being offered:
Sense of Shabbat is a program
for moms and children.Different
songs, blessings and stories for
Shabbat will be taught. Partici-
pants will be able to explore Jew-
ish books, items of Judaica and
toys. People can just drop in and
join on the classes Oct. 6 from 10-
11 a.m. There is no fee.
The next Challah Days will be
on Friday, Oct. 6, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Ruth Beresh and Karen Goss
will teach how to make a challah
for Shabbat. Participants will be
able to take a challah home to
bake.
Some classes have fees. For in-
formation, call Ruth Beresh, 681-
