Temple Shir Shalom moves into its new
building at Orchard Lake and Walnut
Lake roads. It announces plans to join a
consortium to lease or buy Walnut Lake
Elementary School. The temple also joins
with Oakland Community College to teach
its adult education classes and will move
its middle school students from formal
classes to Shabbaton and weekend pro-
grams, as well as community service.
Congregation Bet Chaverim in Canton
