guages, she can speak only Russ-
ian — a great handicap in her
current work at Weizmann. For-
tunately, however, chemistry is
based on formulas; and whenev-
er necessary, Russian-speaking
students at the institute serve as
her interpreters.

all claims that immigrants over
40 have no chance of finding de-
cent jobs," says Professor Cahen.
