1989, this world class Quinta was
transformed into arguably the
world's greatest porto facility. A
lush, intense wine, displaying
layers of concentrated soft vel-
vety fruit. Excellent as an aperi-
tif or after the meal. One for the
cellar at about $38.
Groth Merlot 1992 is a full-
bodied, deep garnet color with
rich plums and carrots. Struc-
tured tanning gives this wine a
sleek texture. Retails around
$22.50.
