Terrific Teen Night

aturday night rolls around
and you're sick and tired of
going to the movies, playing
putt-putt golf, or bowling. The
Jewish Community Center
Maple/Drake has a terrific alter-
native for teens twelve to nineteen
years old. On Saturday, Septem-
ber 23, the Rosenberg Recreation
Complex will be converted into
a teen recreation center. There will
be an evening of leisure and sports
from 7:30 - midnight. The cost is
$2.50 for JCC members and $5.00
for non-members.
Bring your rollerblades for some
fast action on court number one.
Courts two, three, four and five
are available for basketball, indoor
soccer, floor hockey, and volley-
ball. And if you want to relax and
cool off, the rec. room in the Rosen-

S

berg Complex will be turned into
a lounge with a big screen televi-
sion. Enjoy watching MTV and
snacking on some pop and pop-
corn. Come alone or bring your
friends for some great fun and
competition. For further informa-
tion please call (810) 661-7679 or

she has been since 1975.
Resi was born and educated

in Shanghai before coming to
the United States in 1948. She
has lived at Prentis Apart-

Resi has been creating deli-

sandwiches (using all Kosher in-
gredients) and split pea and
mushroom barley soup for forty
years. She recently developed
a new vegetable soup recipe.
She calls herself a "workaholic"
and still can be seen over-
seeing the Cafe at JPM five days
a week.
