WERE FIGHTING FOR YOUR LIFE

Truth Vs. Imagination
In The Diaries

JASON LICHTSTEIN SPECIAL TO THE JEWISH NEWS

T

he far right's casual dis-

missal of responsibility in
the wake of the Oklahoma
City bombing stirred me to
go to Timothy McVeigh's alleged
literary inspiration for the fuel
and fertilizer explosive that took
168 lives — The Turner Diaries.
There I found a generous heap-
ing of classic anti-Semitic thought
and "race-mixing."
The book's author, William L.
Pierce. a.k.a. Andrew McDonald,
who lives in the hills of West Vir-
ginia, vigorously denies that the
fictional book (published in 1978)
has had any influence on domes-
tic terrorists and militant groups.
"I'm just using my imagination,"
he says.
Odd how both his and Mr.
McVeigh's imaginations conjured
up the same image — of a burnt-
out FBI building in ruins with
hundreds dead.
The virulent strain of anti-
Semitism invoked in The Turn-
er Diaries, much like the
discredited but infamous The
Protocols of the Elders of Zion
(first published in 1911 in Rus-
sia) holds Jews, Zionist interna-
tionalists and the "System"
responsible for all the ills and
troubles of modern society, and
gives us lines like these:
"Jews [have] fermented the de-
composition of the races and of
civilization."
"Within a week, the throat of
the last Jewish survivor in the
last kibbutz ... had been cut."
"Our people [have been cor-
rupted] by a Jewish-liberal-equal-
itarian plague."
In both works, an ideology that
has haunted Jews from ancient
Israel to Eastern Europe is man-
ifest in all its horrifying lucidity.
In The Protocols, a worldwide
conspiracy of the Jewish
Supreme Council, the "Assembly
of the Elders of Zion," is alleged
to have been behind both world
wars, the French and Russian
revolutions and the supposed de-
struction of nation-states, reli-
gion and traditional mores. These
wise men have included King
Solomon and Theodor Herzl.
Through moral corruption, social
reform and liberal institutions,
Jewish elders plan to bring all of
the European Christian world to
its knees.
In Earl Turner's story, Amer-
ica is the backdrop, but not sur-
prisingly, the protagonist — the
rootless conspiring Jew — hasn't
changed a bit.

Jasmi Lichistehi is a free-lance

writer who lives in Ann Arbor.

On the cover of The Turner Di-
aries is an illustration portraying
government law enforcement
squad cars and police helmets
decorated with stars of David.
Mr. Pierce's work tells the story
of the "men and women who
struggle and sacrifice to save our
race in its time of greatest peril"
and their armed fight against the
"System." The Zionist-occupied
System, protected by its so-called
Negro police, institute sweeping
gun control and "equality" mea-
sures. The Cohen Act, passed by
the Congress and signed by the
president, forbids all private own-
ership of guns, thereby erasing

the Second Amendment. Posses-
sion of a firearm is punishable by
up to 10 years in jail. Almost 1
million Americans are arrested
in "Gun Raids."
The book's hero, Earl Turner,
and his confederates in the un-
derground "Organization" and
elite white "Order," rebel against
the tyrannical, totalitarian gov-
ernment and seek to end the de-
struction of the republic by Jews,
blacks, Asians and Latino immi-
grants. White people, to ensure
their own survival, band togeth-
er to save their teetering nation.
But to Mr. Turner, the "enemy
we are fighting fully intends to
destroy the racial basis of our ex-
istence" and desires to turn
America into a place where only
Jews, "mulatto zombies" and
"mongrels" are left. The white-led
"Organization" must fight naive
conservatives and pseudo-so-
phisticated liberals ... who have
smugly promoted Jewish ideolo-
gy for so many years.... We'll go
to the uttermost ends of the
Earth to hunt down the last of
Satan's spawn.... No Jew will
[survive] anywhere."
Early in The Turner Diaries,
Earl and his gang, strapped fi-
nancially because the Zionists
and their lackeys have frozen
their bank assets, rob a Northern
Virginia establishment, Saul
Berman's Liquors and Wines.
Later, feeling a bit giddy, they rob
