Bloomfield Hills homes of Lau-

George and Vivian Dean.

Ms. Krasnick and Mrs.
Schechter, who have been in-
strumental in the creation and
implementation of this event
throughout the past 13 years,
will each receive the State of Is-
rael Aliyah Award for their ef-
forts on behalf of the State of
Israel.
Mrs. Krasnick serves on the
Women's Division Board and has
co-chaired the Annual Art &
Home Tour with Mrs. Schechter
during this time. She is affiliat-
ed with Temple Israel. Mrs.
Krasnick serves on the boards of
the Jewish Federation of Metro
Detroit Women's Division, the
Jewish Federation Apartments
and the Jewish Historical Soci-
ety Advisory Board. She has
served as a board member and
ad book co-chairman for Juvenile
Diabetes, past board member of
the Michigan Association of Cal-
ligraphers and has done volun-
teer work for National Council
of Jewish Women and other or-
ganizations.
Bluma Schechter taught ele-
mentary school and was a free-
lance court reporter for many
years. She has been actively in-
volved with Israel Bonds for the
past 15 years as a Women's Di-
vision Board Member and Co-
Chairwoman with Mrs. Krasnick
of the Annual Art and Home
Tour. Mrs. Schechter is affiliat-
ed with Congregation Shaarey
Zedek. She is a volunteer work-
er for the Jewish Welfare Fed-
eration, has served the national
Council of Jewish Women both
as a CASA Worker (court ap-
pointed special advocate) and a
board member, as well as Work-
ing on the Council's "Family to
Family" program.
