comers Brunch on Sunday, Oct.
1, in the JCC Lounge from 10 to
11:30 a.m.
The brunch is an opportunity
to learn more about the Jewish
organization. All newcomers to

A clown and magic animal show
will be at the Jewish Communi-
ty Center of Washtenaw Coun-
ty's Eighth Annual Apples &
Honey & Lots, Lots More, set for
Sunday, Sept. 17, 1-4 p.m.
Colors the Clown and her
magic animal show (featuring
small live animals) will perform
at 1:30 and at 3 p.m. She will
teach children to make animal
designs will balloons.
Apples & Honey is sponsored
by the JCC with the cooperation
of Beth Israel Congregation,
Temple Beth Emeth, Chabad
House, Hebrew Day School, the
Jewish Cultural Society, ORT,
Hadassah and other local Jew-
ish organizations.
Admissions for Apples & Hon-
ey is $1 for adults and 50 cents

Ann Arbor Chabad will celebrate

its 20th anniversary at a dinner
to be held on Sunday, Sept. 17,
starting at 5:30 p.m. at Wash-
tenaw Community College's
Morris Lawrence Building. The
evening will feature a catered
meal, a talk by Rabbi Philip
Lefkowtiz of Chicago, a video
tracing Ann Arbor Chabad's 20-
year history, an awards ceremo-
ny, personal reminiscences, "One
Man Band," musical entertain-
ment by Levi Yitzchok Goldstein
and dancing. Copies of a com-
memorative journal will be giv-
en to all who attend.
The dinner marks the occasion
in 1975 when a Chabad House
opened its doors at 715 Hill
Street.
The anniversary dinner is
open to the community. Tickets
are $36 per person. For infor-
