Rabbi Groner will speak on "Justice and Com- passion: An Introduction to the Days of Awe." The program will be held in the Jewish Federation Max M. Fisher building, 6735 Telegraph Road. The study session will explore the relevance of the Yamin Ha Noraim, the High Holy Day pe- riod, for Jews today. The High Holy Day study kicks off the Con- servative Movement weekly Torah study held on Thursday in the Federation building. Area Conservative rabbis and educa- tors examine the parsha, the week's biblical portion, using tra- ditional and contemporary com- mentaries. There will be two sessions available on 10 consecutive Wednesdays: lunch time, noon to 1:30 p.m. and in the evenings, 7:30 to 9 p.m. Study with Rabbi Aaron Bergman will be offered at Congregation Beth Abraham Hillel Moses starting on Thursday, Oct. 12.
