Mrs. Schaver, with her late husband Morris, has been active in sup- port of Bar-Ilan University from its conception. Mrs. Schaver be- gan active support of Bar-Ilan's nascent Yiddish program and was instrumental in both initi- ating and conceptualizing Bar- Ilan's granting of master's and doctorate degrees in Yiddish language and literature. The establishment of the Schaver Chair will maintain an incumbent who will work in teaching, research, publications, the arts, and the training of un- dergraduate and graduate stu- dents. Ms. Goldman has worked as the administrator of Temple Emanu-El in Oak Park. She be- came a senior member of the Na- tional Association of Temple Administrators. In 1992, Ms. Goldman moved to Westport, Conn. for the position of Admin- istrator for Temple Israel, a 900 family congregation.
