Nadine Strossen
The Greater Detroit Chapter of
Hadassah and the American Civ-
il Liberties Union (ACLU) will
present Nadine Strossen, presi-
dent of the ACLU, to speak at
Hadassah's Fall Meeting on Sept.
19, at Temple Israel. the day will
begin at 10 a.m. with clothing and
gift items offered in boutiques.
The program will begin at
11:30 a.m. with Audrey Sobel,
chapter president, giving wel-
coming remarks and an update
on Hadassah's National conven-
tion, which was held in Israel in
August.
Ms. Strossen will speak on
"Women's Rights in the 90's - De-
fending American Values." She
is a professor of law at New York
Law School. Ms. Strossen lec-
tures and practices extensively
in the area of constitutional law,
civil liberties and international
human rights and has authored
several books and comments fre-
quently on legal issues. She is a
graduate of Harvard Law School.
Ms. Strossen is the first woman
president of the ACLU and has
served since 1991.
Lunch will be served at 12:45

The Temple Kol Ami Sisterhood
