stands on the
east side of
town in I\ Iacomb County. Win-
ton-Feinberg, ASID and presi-
dent of Walter Herz Interiors in
Bloomfield Hills, was ap-
proached by the homeowners
five years ago as they began the
design process for their 14,000-
square-foot dream house, which
is set on 14 acres.
"When my husband sets out
to do something, he is very thor-
ough," says the wife. Through
articles in local magazines, he
chose architect Lou DesRosiers
and Winton-Feinberg to partic-
ipate on the design team.
"The homeowners first came
to me wanting a full Boca Raton
contemporary, a real Florida deco
home," says DesRosiers, of
DesRosiers Architects in Bloom-
field Hills. "Then they realized
that style wouldn't fit as well in
■ Iichigan."
Winton-Feinberg, assisted by
\ liry Hayes, ASID, and Diane
I ,cnzing - Porzondek, ASID, con-
vinced the couple to inhabit a
more classical space.
"I try to do things that are
timeless and classical, so that you
can't tell what year they were
done," says Winton-Feinberg.
"You walk into this house, and
you can't tell if it was done today,
20 years ago, or in 20 years."
