Meredith Emery Aland and Jay
Shelby Berlin were married re-
cently at North Shore Congrega-
tional Israel in Glencoe, Ill. Rabbi
Herbert Bronstein officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Fraida and Robert Aland of Win-
netka, Ill. The groom is the son
of Ricki and Arthur Berlin of
West Bloomfield.
Allison Aland and Lindsay
Aland, sisters of the bride, were
maids of honor. The bridesmaids
were Valarie Breier, Denise Dim-
son, Cindy Friedman, and Julie

Silberg. Jeff Berlin, brother of the
groom, was the best man. The
groomsmen were Jay Schwartz,
David Friedland, Wade Haddad,
Eric Newman, Ricky Ginsberg,
Eric Rosenberg, David Broser,
and Michael Schaftel. Also par-
ticipating in the wedding were
the bride's grandparents, Ethel
and Nathan Fleisher, and the
groom's grandparents, Bea and
David Boslow and Sophie Berlin.
The couple honeymooned in
Big Sur, Calif., and are residing
in Chicago.
