He especially excelled in baseball and football and always knew he wanted athletics to be a primary part of his life. Granader is a 1983 graduate of Birmingham Groves High School. He earned All-League, All-Re- gional and All-State honors at the school for his baseball talent and also received an All-Conference award for his football skills. Granader went to Ohio Uni- versity on a four-year baseball scholarship. He played catcher and third base there and started every game his last three years. Baseball scouts considered him for the Major Leagues, although he didn't make it, the experience generated his interest in sports management. Granader attended Detroit Col- lege of Law. After two years of law school, he took an internship with a law firm in Denver specializing in representing professional ath- letes. Upon graduation in 1992, Granader opened his own law firm, World Class Sports and En- tertainment. Last year, Lee (Buzz) Turner invited Granader to join his firm to create a sports division. Cur- rently, all of Granader's legal counseling and representation of athletes is done through Turner & Turner. Granader is still active in ath- letics. He plays in the "YFL," the Yid football league, every Sunday morning from September through December at Groves High School. His team lost last year in the "Matzah Bowl." QUOTE: "Negotiating multimillion dollar contracts for professional athletes is a dream come true," said Granader. `The career is an extremely satisfying experience because I am able to combine my passion for sports with my liveli- hood."
