Married Group
Plans For Fall

The Married Group of Temple
Beth El will host a dinner, an art
gallery tour and fall flower sale.
On Saturday, Sept. 9, Married
Group members and friends will
gather for a 6 p.m. dinner at
Birmingham's Ocean Grille fol-
lowed by a private tour of the
Robert Kidd Gallery, 107
Townsend Street. Speaking in-
formally at the 8 p.m. tour will
be artist, director and gallery co-
owner, Ray Fleming, on the top-
ic "Will I Still Love You
Tomorrow? Spotting the Good
and Bad in Contemporary Art."
Dessert will be served following
his presentation. There is a din-
ner charge. Reservations may be

Married Group's annual sale
of potted chrysanthemums will
help underwrite support of Fri-
day evening Oneg Shabbats fol-
lowing monthly Family Shabbat
Services. The 12-inch plants, in
eight inch pots may be purchased
by telephoning Mark Schon-
berger, 932-0759. Pick-up date
for plant orders is Sunday, Sept.
17, 9:30 a.m.-noon.

Einstein Forum
Hosts Author

Daniel Pinkas, Israeli author, will
discuss intelligence implications
of the Mideast peace process at
ZOA's Einstein Luncheon Forum
Monday, Sept. 11, at noon at the
Zionist Cultural Center in South-
field. Judge Ira G. Kaufman will
chair the session.
Daniel Pinkas joined the Jew-
ish underground navy in Pales-
tine at age 16. He served in the
Israel navy for two years and
subsequently joined a special
task force of Israel's Merchant
Marine charged with the re-
sponsibility of rescuing Jewish
refugees out of Eastern Europe.
In 1967, he was commissioned
by the IDF to write the official
version of the war on the Egypt-
ian front during the Six-Day
War, published under the title
The 4 Day War.
