Plans Meeting

The Department of Michigan
Ladies Auxiliary of the Jewish
War Veterans will conduct its
meeting, Wednesday, Sept. 13,
at 7:30 p.m. at the JWV Memo-
rial Home.
Refreshments will be served
before the meeting by the Host-
esses of Lt. Weil-Oak Park Aux-
iliary. On the agenda will be
activities of the new adminis-
tration.

Sharona Hears
Folk Artist

Folksinger Judy Goldstein will
perform at the Sharona Chapter,
Na'amat annual membership
event; the tea will be held on
Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Crown
Pointe building. Ms. Goldstein,
a folk artist, will sing in English,
Hebrew, Yiddish and Russian. A
light supper will be served. There
is a charge

Sisterhood Hosts
Consumer Expert

Consumer expert Esther Shapiro
will speak on "Frauds I Have
Heard and Loved - How to Rec-
ognize and Avoid Con Artists" at
an Adat Shalom Sisterhood Paid-
up Membership Brunch, 9:30
a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, at the
synagogue.
The event is for paid-up mem-
bers of Adat Shalom Sisterhood
only. All women who have joined
Adat Shalom during the past
year become complimentary sis-
terhood members for this year
and are encouraged to attend.
Adat Shalom Sisterhood mem-
bership dues are $25.
Baby sitting is available for
the Sept. 11 program; call Linda

arrangements.
