The cafe in the park and its
mother cafe of the same name —
which is truly on Milk St., No. 50
— are the handiwork of 30-some-
/J thing Mark Epstein. He is a
Brandeis graduate who worked
his way through school vending
his own, home-made "Eppie's
Frozen Yogurt." Under the glatt
kosher supervision of Rabbi Dov
Moskowitz of Agudath Israel, the
two Milk St. cafes are dairy, veg-
etarian and unusually creative
in their menu planning.

"I Wanted To Be
A Doctor.
Hebrew Free Loan
Gave Me The Shot
I Needed." Dr. Eric Groskind

Dr. Groskind is grateful to the Hebrew Free Loan for providing him the educational loans he
needed to get through medical school back in 1981. Currently, as a practicing physician, the doctor
takes time out of his busy schedule to sit on the HFLA Board of Directors. You could say that after
fourteen years Dr. Groskind still has the spirit of Hebrew Free Loan in his veins.
Save the date, September 10th, for Hebrew Free Loan's Centennial Celebration.
Our guest will be Nobel Prize winner, Elie Wiesel.

Sydney, Australia (JTA) — Less
than 10 percent of Australians do
not welcome Jews as family
\, members or close friends, ac-
'cording to a survey released last
week of attitudes toward religious
groups.
Fully 59 percent of Australians
positively welcome Jews as fam-
ily members, the study showed.
Acceptance of Jews was com-
parable to that of born-again
Christians, and higher than that
of Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims
and Jehovah's Witnesses.
The survey was conducted for
the World Council of Religion and
Peace as a project for the U.N. In-
ternational Year of Tolerance.
The new survey's results dif-
fer from a 1988 survey by the fed-
eral government's Office of
Multicultural Affairs, which
found that Jews were welcome as
family members by only 15 pc ---
, cent of Australians.

The researchers questioned
residents of Melbourne.
