Dr. Winslow received his doctor of dentistry degree from the Universi- ty of Michigan in 1924. His professional affili- ations included life membership in the Amer- ican Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Oakland Dental Society. In ad- dition, he was a member of the Michigan Society of Periodon- tists, American Academy of Pe- riodontology. Dr. Winslow served as the founder and past president of the Russell W. Bunting Peri- odontal Study Club, former chief of the periodontics section of Sinai Hospital and former chairman of the board of gov- ernors of the Univeristy of Michigan School of Dentistry Alumni Society. Throughout his career, Dr. Winslow was the recipient of Max B. Winslow many awards attesting to his deication to his career and the community. Among the accolades were a certificate of ap- preciation from the American Academy of Pe- riodontology, a meritorious award from the Michigan Dental Association, a certificate of RENE MALIN ABBOTT, 79, of Detroit, died July 27. Mrs. Abbott was the beloved wife of the late Norman Henry Abbott. She is survived by her son Ge- offrey M. of Detroit; brothers- in-law, Sylvan of Illinois, Arthur of Portugal. He served as a director of the Jew- ish Community Council, pres- ident of the Resettlement Ser- vice of Metropolitan Detroit, chairman of the budget com- mittee of the Jewish Welfare Federation and president of the Temple Beth El Men's Club. He was the beloved husband of the late Myrtle H. Winslow. Dr. Winslow is survived by his daughters, Phyllis of Pigeon, Mich., Ilene Komer of West Bloomfield; son-in-law, Simon Komer; grandchildren, Joscelyn, Danielle and Rachel Komer.
