ENJOY GREAT DINING
ON OUR OUTDOOR PATIO

Machine Display Self-Image
Program Set
At The Village

The machines that led America
through the industrial revolution
will be humming, popping, hiss-
ing and roaring at Greenfield Vil-
lage's Pageant of Power, Aug.
12-13.
The weekend includes ma-
chines that really make the grade
. . . like 1920s-era steam-powered
road rollers and graders. For
those seeking alternatives to gas-
powered autos there's the 1899
Locomobile steam-powered car.
Children of all ages will get
pumped up watching demon-
strations of a 1907 gas-operated
Waterous Pumper once used to
put out fires. And on Saturday,
vintage tractors will tear up the
turf in an antique tractor pull.
Children can enjoy hands-on
activities that show how pulleys,
gears and rubber-band "motors"
work. They can twist to make
rope and grind corn with hand-
powered machinery.
