You could lose things
like extra weight. High
blood pressure. And high
blood cholesterol levels.
The very things that con-
tribute to heart attack and
stroke.
All you have to do is in-
vest wisely at the super-
market.
Buy more in the fresh
produce, pasta, breads
and cereals sections. And
purchase fish, poultry and
lean meats instead of fatty
or processed meats.
Switch to low-fat dairy
products and margarine.
And check the nutritional
listings on food labels.
In short, be selective
about how you play this
market. Because no mat-
ter how much you lose,
you've got a lot to win.

T

he 1995 Joe Dumars
Celebrity Tennis Classic
raised more than $100,000
for Children's Hospital.
The event included a dinner/auc-
tion at the Ritz-Carlton and tour-
naments at the Detroit Tennis
and Squash Club in Farmington
Hills. The event just completed
its third year.
The tournament consisted of
celebrity players against local
tennis talents. Radio personali-
ty Mike "Stoney" Stone of
WDFN Sports Radio played
against Jared Miller of Bloom-
field Hills, a University of Wis-
ccmpin sophomore.
Eddie
Murray, of the Philadelphia Ea-
gles, played against Jeff
Shapiro, the Detroit Pistons' or-
thopedic surgeon.
Mark Zausmer is the presi-
dent of the Detroit Tennis and
Squash Club, while Ron Yolles
is the vice president. Some of the
members of the host committee
included: Vickie Fingeroot,
Gordon Gold, Linda Kovan,
Larry Nemer, Adam Roth-
stein, Iry and Sue Solomon,

Ava Young, Ron Karp,
Richard Mark, Sandy Ross,
Jeff Shapiro and Ron and
Julie Yolles. Some of the hon-
orary chairmen included: James
and Nancy Grosfeld, Charles
and Diana Rothstein, David
and Doreen Hermelin, John
and Nancy Levy, Ronald and
Joyce Rothstein, Robert and
SuSu Sosnick and Mark and
Laura Zausmer.

SPIELBERG SURPRISE

A Federal Express envelope
recently arrived at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek, and its contents
were decidedly E.T. — extra -ter-
rific.
Drora Kleinplati's fourth-
grade class at Shaarey Zedek had
planted three trees in honor of di-
rector Steven Spielberg. When
Mr. Spielberg, who was honored
with an Academy Award for
Schindler's List, learned of their
gesture, he wrote to thank them.
"Dear Brad, Brittany, Re-
becca, Alissa, Jordan, Stuart,
Eli, Lauren, Andrea, Lauren,
