SAMUEL BROWN, 84, of Deerfield Beach, Fla., died July 18. Dr. Brown was a retired po- diatrist, a graduate of Booklyn College, Illinois School of Podia- try and the University of Michi- gan School of Social Work. He was a former director of the American Jewish Congress in Michigan and New Jersey, en- gaging in many civil rights and church-state related activities; he participated in in removing anti-Semitic statements from an exhibit at the New York World Fair. He served as tour director for many AJC tours. Dr. Brown also served as associate director of the United Synagogue of America and was assistant to the chairman of the New Jersey Department of Community Af- fairs.
