Shabbaton Set
For Young Adults

Friends of Na'amat-Tevye Sallen
Chapter reelected its slate of of-
ficers for another year.
Installed for 1995-1996 were
Herman Ozrovitz-president;
Frank Wasser-vice president;
Jack Tendler-secretary; and
Robert Kannon-treasurer.
Activities for the coming year
include a bar-b-que on July 26,
a golf outing, theater programs
in the fall and winter, and a so-
cial dinner this fall.

Dr. Anita Turtletaub of Chica-
go's Midwest Jewish Singles and
Rabbi Elimelech Silberberg of
Detroit's Bais Chabad will host
a Shabaton on "Communication
in Relationships" for young cou-
ples and singles over 30, in West
Bloomfield Sept. 1-3.
The keynote speakers will be
Rabbi Shlomo and Mrs. Esther
Bluming. Zelig and Ahava Spiel-
man of Toronto's Orthodox Jew-
ish Connection will be on hand
to meet the Shabaton partici-
pants. Rabbi Silberberg and his
wife, Chaya Sarah, Torah in-
sights.
The cost of the entire Shaba-
ton is $175 per person, which in-
cludes all the glatt kosher meals

Rabbi Joins
Aish HaTorah

Rabbi Michael Berger, former-
ly of Aish HaTorah Toronto, has
joined the staff of Detroit's Aish
HaTorah Jewish Outreach Pro-
gram. Aish HaTorah, an inter-
national organization, provides
Jewish learning for people who
want to explore their Judaism in
an intellectual, meaningful and
relaxed way.

The Charles Shapiro Post of the
Jewish War Veterans will hold
its next meeting on Sunday, July
23, 9 a.m. at the Jewish War Vet-
erans Memorial Home.
The breakfast meeting will in-
clude approval of the 1995-96
budget and reports on recent vis-
its to veteran hospitals, servic-

Michael Berger

Rabbi Berger has served as a
lecturer in Jewish subjects at Aish
HaTorah's "Discovery" program.
In addition to lecturing, Rabbi
Berger has written and delivered
