Barbara Rom, a Bloomfield
Hills bankruptcy attorney with

been named president of the De-
troit Bar Association. Ms. Rom,
46, graduated from the Univer-
sity of Michigan Law School in
1972, joining Pepper, Hamilton
& Scheetz in 1988. She also
serves as vice president of the
Women's Economic Club of De-
troit, treasurer of the Michigan
Democratic Party and board
member of the U-M Law School.
