JFS CO-SPONSORS
FAMILY CIRCLE

Jewish Family Service is pleased to par-
ticipate as a co-sponsor in The Family
Circle, a series designed for siblings of
Jewish individuals with special needs. The
programming is designed to have a broad
appeal for adults, silblings, and families
with young children.
The first event takes place on Sunday,
September 10 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at
the Agency for Jewish Education. The key-
note presenter will be Sally Burton, creator
of "Kidpower", an empowerment program
for siblings of people with special needs.
Ms. Burton will be followed by five
dynamic workshops.
A unique highlight of this year's pro-
gram is a two part evening follow-up on
Tuesdays, September 12 and 19, from 7:00
to 9:00 pm. The September 12th program
will include a panel discussion featuring
adult siblings of people with special needs.
The September 19th program will provide
parents and siblings with the opportunity
for follow-up discussion. Both evening
sessions will be facilitated by Margaret
Weiner, MSW, JFS Associate Executive
Director. All sessions will take place at the
Agency for Jewish Education in Southfield.
For more information contact Bayla
Landsman at the Agency for
Jewish Education, (810) 354-1050.
