DEED: Feldman, 23, a pitching
coach for Detroit Country Day,
helped lead his alma mater to win
the Class B Baseball State Cham-
pionship a few weeks ago. The
Yellow Jackets beat Springlake
High School 7-3 to capture the ti-
tle and had an overall 26-8 record
this year. Feldman plans to return
to the team next year in his cur-
rent capacity, or possibly even as
head assistant coach.
SKINNY: Feldman's outstanding
pitching provided skill and excel-
lence to Detroit Country Day base-
ball teams throughout the
1988-1989 and 1989-1990 seasons.
As a senior, the Michigan High
School Baseball Coaches' Associ-
ation voted him to the 1990 "All-
State team."
In addition, Feldman was se-
lected to pitch in the Michigan
High School All-Star Game at
Tiger Stadium.. The left-hander
started playing baseball when he
was 5.
Feldman was a starting pitch-
er for the University of Michigan
during the 1990-1991 season and
half of the 1991-1992 season. As
a freshman, he received a Uni-
versity of Michigan Scholar Ath-
lete Award.
Feldman graduated from U of
M in 1994 with a degree in sports
management and communica-
tions. He currently owns his own
business. His company represents
the Ukrainian Hockey Team,
which is presently traveling around
North America training for the
1998 Olympics in Nagano, Japan.
The Ukrainian team, known as
Druzhba 78, will be practicing and
conducting clinics for local hockey
players at the Southfield Civic
Center for eight weeks beginning
July 11. For more information on

player, but fortunately was given
