SALAD BAR
CHINESE & AMERICAN DISHES

The Detroit Science Center will
open Destiny In Space in Michi-
gan's only Omnimax® Theater,
July 16. Destiny In Space will
give viewers a chance to feel as
if they are traveling in space as
they fly over the surfaces of Mars
and Venus. And for the first time
on the giant 3 1/2 story Omni-
max screen, audiences will trav-
el outside the space shuttle as it
orbits 200 miles above the Earth.
Narrated by Leonard Minoy,
Destiny In Space features in-
credible footage including close-
ups of the astronauts going about
their daily work, the awe-in-
spiring departure of the Galileo
probe for Jupiter (a journey of
five years and 390 million miles)
and a spectacular night shuttle
launch.
The Detroit Science Center is
located at 5020 John R, Street in
the University Cultural Center.
It is open Monday - Friday from
10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday and
Sunday from 10:30 a.m. 6 p.m.
Destiny In Space shows every
hour beginning July 16. Admis-
sion is $6.50 for adults, $4.50 for
children 4 - 12 and senior citi-
zens, children 3 and under are
free. Call for group information,
