Earl Remer

Earl Remer, a past president of
Temple Beth El Brotherhood, is
this year's recipient of the Robert
L. Rosenbush Award. The award,
named in honor of the late Robert
L. Rosenbush, is given annually
to one whose qualities and actions
best exemplify those of Mr. Rosen-
bush, also a past president of the
brotherhood.
Candidates must demonstrate
a devotion to brotherhood and ded-
ication to Torah (scholarship), avo-
dah (worship) and g'milut
hasodim (deeds of loving kind-
ness).
Mr. Remer a former head ush-
er and current member of the
Usher Corps, also is an active par-
ticipant in the Temple's Mitzvah
Corps and a Temple Docent. His
devotion to his congreation was
recognized in 1989 when he was
awarded the President's Cup, giv-
en annually to a member "in cele-
bration of service, initiative and
