The Oakland Century Lodge of
B'nai B'rith will present its 23rd
Annual Spirit of B'nai B'rith and
Annual Scholarship Awards hon-
oring Sol Moss on Tuesday, July
11, 8 p.m. at Adat Shalom Syn
agogue.

Mr. Moss is a past president
of the Adat Shalom Synagogue
and a national B'nai B'rith fig-
ure. He also is active in local com-
munity affairs.
The program will include the
awarding of a number of $500
scholarships to Jewish students
whose academic and social
achievements indicate future
commitment to the local com-
munity.
The speaker of the evening
will be Richard Lobenthal, exec-
utive director of the Anti-
Defamation League of B'nai
B'rith. His subject will encom-
pass the rise of racial incidents
both local and national.
A dessert buffet will follow

Kadima
Fund-Raiser
Kadima, an organization for
adults with mental illness, will
hold its annual fund-raiser on
Thursday, Sept. 21, 7 p.m. at the
Royal Oak Music Theater on 4th
Street in Royal Oak.
Kadima Karnival 1995 will
feature an evening of music, food
and more. Tickets are available
starting at $75 per person. All
proceeds will help Kadima con-
tinue its work with the mental-
ly in to function and to contribute
to the community.
