Randy Winston RANDY WINSTON, of West Bloomfield, is one of 10 students in Michigan selected to receive Wendy's Heisman Trophy Award for High School Students. The finalists were chosen be- cause of their grades, leadership skills and athletic accomplish- ments. The receipt of this award makes him a national finalist (1 of only 100 in the country). Mr. Winston, who will be a senior at Eton Academy in Birmingham, is part of the First National Hon- or Society in the country which had been certified at a school for students with learning disabili- ties. CHIARA FASI, a ninth grad- er at Roeper School in Birming- ham, is a member of the metropolitan youth orchestra and recently took first place in the Michigan Music Teachers Association Competition. LAURA ZITTRAIN EISEN- BERG, author of My Enemy's Enemy: Lebanon in the Early Zionist Imagination, 1900-1948, has been named the first recipi- ent of the Salo W. and Jeannette M.Baron Prize by the American Academy for Jewish Research. The award was established to recognize the excellence in schol- arship of a first book in Judaic studies by a scholar under 35 teaching at a North American college or university. The book was published by Wayne State University Press in July 1994. Dr. Eisenberg teaches at Carnegie Mellon University.
