DEED: Friedman, 16, plays catcher. At a recent invita- tional tournament in Claw- son, she batted .850 and threw out five base runners attempting to steal. Andover finished third in the tourna- ment and Friedman was named her team's "Most Valuable Player." THE SKINNY: Friedman has been a tremendous asset to Andover's team. It finished second overall in the Class B Division Four League. She took up softball when she was 8, after watching her fa- captain of next year's team, also played in various Maccabi Games.
