HMD's monthly Coffee House
Night will be Monday, July 10,
in the backroom of Lonestar Cof-
fee Co., 207 S. Woodward, in
Birmingham beginning at 9 p.m.
Join HMD for a day of canoe-
ing on Sunday, July 16, at
Heavner Park/Proud Lake
Recreation Center in Milford.
Cost is $5 per person; $4 per car
to park. A convoy will leave from
Roosevelt's parking lot (12 Mile
and Orchard Lake Rod.) at 11
a.m. Canoeing will begin at noon.
Bring a bag lunch. filled water
bottle, hat, and sunscreen. Re-
spond by July 12, to be guaran-
teed a spot in a canoe. Call

Boston. She is the daughter of

and a bachelor of science in biol-
ogy from Stanford University in
Palo Alto. Nathaniel is the son
of Dr. Fred and Melvadean pear-
son of Beverly Hills, and of Ju-
dith Siegel Pearson. His main
research project was a field study
of language evolution among the
Aymara of Bolivia.

JOSH ALPERT, who just com-
pleted his freshman year at
Michigan State University, is on
the dean's honor list. Mr. Alpert
is in a pre-engineering curricu-
lum.
