In Concert

The city of Oak Park will present
The Contours in concert during
Oak Park's Music In The Park
concert series on Tuesday, June
27, at 7:30 p.m. This free concert
will be held in Shepherd Park,
located at Northfield and Church
Streets. Patrons should bring
their own chairs or blankets; a
concession stand will be available.
In case of rain, the perfor-
mance will be held in the Oak
Park High School Auditorium.

Village Players
Stage Comedy

)

The Village Players will open its
summer theatre season with the
contemporary comedy, I Hate
Hamlet. This play is the story of
TV star Andrew Rally, who de-
cides to leave the L.A. life to play
Hamlet in New York's famed
Shakespeare in the Park.
Production dates are June 24,
25, 30 and July 1. All perfor-
mances begin at 8 p.m., except for
the Sunday matinee, which be-
gins at 2 p.m. Tickets are $8.
The Village Players is located
at Hunter and Chestnut in down-
town Birmingham, near Maple
and Woodward. For reservations
or ticket information, call the tic-
ket line at 810-644-2075.

West Bloomfield
Art Festival

The West Bloomfield Chamber
and Henry Ford Medical Center
— West Bloomfield will host the
West Bloomfield Art Festival,
June 24 and 25. Festival hours
are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Satur-
day and Sunday. Admission is
free.
This two-day affair, which
highlights West Bloomfield, will
benefit the West Bloomfield
Chamber of Commerce and is
part of the Henry Ford Medical
Center — West Bloomfield's 20th
anniversary celebration. The fes-
tival is located on 15 Mile Road
at the Henry Ford Medical Cen-
ter — West Bloomfield, 6777
West Maple Road, opposite the
JCC.
