Israel Appeal
Appoints Two

Dr. Conrad L. Giles and Stuart E.
Hertzberg have been appointed
to serve on the United Israel Ap-
peal (UTA) board of directors.

noe trip on July 20, at Proud

ident of the Jewish Federation
of Metropolitan Detroit and
member of its executive com-
mittee and board of governors.
He is a co-chairman of the Jew-
ish Federation Partnership 2000
program, which aims to further
economic development in the
Central Galilee region of Israel.
The UIA serves as a link be-
tween the American Jewish com-
munity and the people of Israel.
UIA helps determine the use of
United Jewish Appeal, Jewish
Federation and U.S. government
grant funds in Israel for program
of UIA's operating agent, the
Jewish Agency for Israel.

Space Holds
Support Groups

Space, a community service of
National Council of Jewish
Women/Greater Detroit Section
will sponsor the following sup-
port groups and events:
A four-week Separation and
Divorce support group level 1
(Initial shock of divorce) for men
and women will begin Monday,
July 3, and continue July 10, 17
and 24. The group will be held at
the Space office from 7:30-9:30
p.m. Pre-registration is required
by June 27. Suggested donation
is $3 per week. Call the Space of-
fice, (810) 258-6606.
