honor Mr. Wineman, Ms. Wein-
er and other contributors at a
Legacy Dinner, 6 p.m. Tuesday,
June 27, at Adat Shalom Syna-
gogue. The event will serve up

ince the Jewish Communi-
ty Center of Metropolitan
Detroit announced a
$450,000 projected deficit
in January, agency leaders have
worked aggressively to avoid bud-
getary shortfalls.
Cutting services, withholding
Jewish Community Center As-
sociation dues and laying off em-
ployees were all part of the
Center's plan to revamp its bud-
get and save the agency money.
Now, Center leadership has its
attention focused on how to build
membership and generate addi-
tional funds. They believe an-
swers lie in implementing ideas
from a 28-page marketing plan
devised by Marketing Director
