MARVIN OSTRO, 74, for-
merly of Cranford, N.J., of Del-
ray Beach, Fla., died June 2.
Mr. Ostro was the founder and
first president of Temple Beth
El in Cranford. A former opera
singer, he organized the tem-
ple choir in which he partici-
pated for 30 years. He was a
humanitarian with contribu-
tions in the fileds of human
and civil rights. He is survived
by his wife, Rose; sons and
daughters-in-law, Dr. Joel and
Judy of West Bloomfield, Drs.
Bart and Suzie of Oakland,
Calif.; brother and sister-in-
law, Arnold and Francis;
grandchildren, Jason and Jor-
dana Ostro, Malissa Kliks.

SYLVIA C. ROSENBERG,
81, of West Bloomfield, died
June 13. Mrs. Rosenberg was a
volunteer for five years at the
Morris Adler School in South-
field. She was a member of the
Infant Service and of Congre-
gation Beth Achim. She was
the beloved wife of the late
Samuel B. Rosenberg. She is
survived by her daughter and
son-in-law, Esterly and Stan-
ley Blum of West Bloomfield;
brother and sister-in-law,
Samuel and Beatrice Goldstein
of Los Angeles; grandchildren,
Michelle Rose, Jason Adam
and Beth-Ann Blum; sister-in-
law, Eva (Manuel) Rott.

ROSENTHAL, 86, of Troy,
died June 10. He is survived

MARTIN ROTHENBERG,
78, of Pembroke Pines, Fla.,
died June 14. Mr. Rothenberg
was the founder and owner of
Maro Precision Tool Company
in Livonia. He was also a Jew-
ish War Veteran, a member of
the Perfection Mosaic Lodge
and Tam O'Shanter Country
Club.
Mr. Rothenberg is survived
by his wife, Elaine; sons and
