The 3.5 mile run and walk re- places a racquetball tournament held the past two years in memory of the late Sam Young, a prominent local racquetball player and coach. His widow, Gail Young, said the fun run and walk will attract more participants and raise more funds for needy children. No official times or places will be recorded at the event. The fun run and walk will begin at Franklin Fitness & Racquet Club in Southfield, go north on Franklin Road and then wind through Franklin village. The $15 entry fee includes a T-shirt. Re- freshments will be available after the event in the Franklin Fitness parking lot.
