Fun & Fitness Day.
even-year-old Zachary Bialick has no
problem getting around on roller blades.
His father, Ken Bialick of Birmingham,
can also roller-blade, but he is standing
off to the side, watching Zachary.
Zachary says roller blades are a lot of
fun as he finishes a lap around a section
of the Jimmy Prentis Morris Jewish
Community Center (JPM) parking lot
on Sunday.
That same day he participated in a
karate class and a baseball clinic.
While the Bialicks and others took ad-
vantage of an afternoon of fitness and
family fun, the JCC took advantage of
showcasing the sports and fitness ac-
tivities it offers to members. At the same
time, it hoped to entice people to join.
"We wanted to have a day where the
entire community was invited to see
what we have to offer and use the Cen-
ter at no charge," said Leslie Bash, JPM
managing director. "This is the first time
