ese wood block prints 18th-20th
century. Hiroshige, Hasui and Hi-
roshi Yoshida will be included. For

hibition will include rural pastel land-

Founded in 1970, Xochipilli
Gallery will be celebrating its 25th
anniversary by featuring work by in-
ternationally-recognized sculptor,
Stephen Hansen, from June 1-30,
1995. Hansen has been represent-
ed by Xochipilli Gallery since 1973
and will be attending a reception
honoring him from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.,
Thursday, June 1. The public is wel-
come to attend. Hansen's humor-
ous sculptures are included in
prestigious corporate, government
and private collections throughout
the world-most notably, The Smith-
sonian Institute in Washington D.C.,
MacDonalds Corp. headquarters,
the United States State Department,
Herman Miller Corp. and Post-
Newsweek Television Network.
Gallery hours are 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.,
Tuesday through Saturday.
Mystical Art
On Exhibit
New York—Jeffrey Packard dis
plays his spiritual inspiration in
a wide range of media at the
Yeshiva University Museum
through July 31. His exhibition,
"Make Me A Sanctuary," is a
whirlwind of color and light, pic-
tures and objects which reveal the
artist's amalgam of mysticism,
Torah and imagination.
In his paintings, Mr Packard
follows the well-established tra-
dition in Western art of using im-
ages of light to express spiritual
inspiration and sanctity. His neon
sculptures range from a single line
of text ("Thou Art") behind a veil,
to a 24-foot high installation over
Paterson Great Falls, titled Gate-
way of Peace. The pillars light, in-
spired by the Temple of Solomon,
form the gateway into the natur-
al cliff sanctuary of the falls.
