Walled Lake Consolidated - Two four-year terms
Meteorologist, married with children. Currently a member of Ac-
William Ernest Drum
tion Team #3 considering Life Long Learning. The group was

convened earlier this year.

Harvey J. Altman

The school board voted 7-0 on three separate occasions to bring
before the public a building program, all which were defeated at
the polls. The disparity of board votes versus election results
demonstrates the current school board and administration are
out of touch.

Three children, youngest in the district. Associate professor,
school of health sciences, Grand Valley State University and De-
partment of Psychiatry, Wayne State University School of Medi-
cine. Internationally recognized researcher in areas of learning
and memory. President and CEO of the Counseling Network.
Board member of Alzheimer's Association, the Arnold Home.

I'm very interested in seeing our community grow and its educa-
tional program remain strong. I have always been civic-minded
and since I have been in education all my life, it seemed only fit-
ting that I get involved in public education in my community.

Marc A. Siegler

Nine-year resident of Farmington Hills. Children in the district
Director of quality assurance at Sherwood Food Distributors.
School board appointee July 1994.

I see our district being confronted by major challenges in the fu-
ture. I feel my past district experience, involvement and under-
standing allow me to better interpret the needs of our children. I
understand the role of being a person dedicated and involved in
our children's educational plans.

Randolph G. Ston

Member of HARP. Children in district. Work experience includes
professor of sociology at Oakland Community College, coun-
selor at Oakland Community College and coordinator of social
and construction projects in Ghana and Nigeria. Developed
and/or coordinated budgets for nonprofit organizations and
school construction projects and curriculum for vocational, col-
lege transfer and corporations.

I want to be a school-board member to add my voice and ener-
gy to protect the education received by our children and to pro-
mote the training of a skilled work force.

Samantha Ruetenik

West Bloomfield resident since 1967. Five adult children and
four grandchildren, two attending district schools. Elementary-
school teacher for 21 years. Ten years as president of Bloom-
field Hills Education Association. Founder and co-chair Lakes
Area Council for Diversity. Certified board member (by Michigan
Association of School Boards).

The board needs to make careful, fiscally responsible decisions
to create space for burgeoning student growth without decimat-
ing educational programs. I have the experience in education
and community groups to work on issues.

Walled Lake Consolidated - One one-year unexpired term
Has lived in district for eight years. Children in Walled Lake
Susan F. Adamson
schools. Has been PTA president, treasurer, first vice president

and fund-raising chairman. Treasurer of PTSA Council for three
years and first vice president for two. Served on three redistrict-
ing committees.

I have always been involved in what is going on in the district
and have a desire to help Walled Lake Schools strive toward ex-
cellence. I believe that I am representative of many parents
throughout the district and would like to use my experience to
help make some of the educational decisions.

Alp Onder

General partner of Roney & Co. Finance committee of Walnut
Creek Country Club and secretary of Woods of Novi Homeown-
ers Association. Involved as volunteer in the district. Soccer,
basketball and baseball coach.

I'm running for school board because I am deeply concerned by
the lack of parental and community commitment to the success
of our schools. I feel my financial expertise, coupled with my
ability to comprehensively and objectively analyze our district's
problems, will serve the community and school board well.

Patricia Cork

District resident for 16 years. Mother of two. Member of Decker
Elementary PTA (past president, vice president and parliamen-
tarian). Active member of St. William Parish as lector, catechist
teacher and homeless-shelter volunteer.

With all the changes that are being made in our schools, it will
be an important task to make sure we do not jeopardize the high
educational standards that students will need for the 21st
century.
