The Music Study Club of Metro-
politan Detroit will old its annu-
al installation luncheon and and
musical program on Tuesday,
June 6, at noon at the Birming-
ham Temple.
Installed as officers for 1995-96
will be Elaine Kohner, president;
Bertha Weil, Vera Rollin-Bm-ke,
vice presidents; Mimi Summers,
Ann Rose, secretaries; and Ann
Cook, treasurer. The following will
be installed for a two-year term on
the board of directors: Mildred
Charnas, Ruth Koltonow, and
Joyce Margolis. Shirley Belkin,
Cyrille Friedman, and Jeanette
Miller will be installed for a one-
year term.
The musical program will fea-
ture the Music Study Club's
scholarship recipients Leah
Goor, violinist and Michelle
Pearlman, mezzo-soprano. Ms.
Goor received the Ida K. Smok-
ler Memorial Scholarship and
Ms. Pearlman received the
Emma Schaver Scholarship for
voice. Also participating in the
musical program will be the Mu-
sic Study Club Choral Group di-
rected by Laura RaVelle
Schwartz, accompanied by Zina
Astrakham.

and program is $18 for members
and $20 for non-members. Send

Family Day
Free sports clinics, dance and
aerobics classes, roller skating,
clowns and family arts and crafts
are some of the activities planned
for the "Family Fun and Fitness
Day" 1-4 p.m. June 11, at the
Jimmy Prentis Morris Jewish
Community Center.
Throughout the afternoon, par-
ticipants will have the opportu-
nity to tour and use the Center
facilities including the swimming
pool, gym and weight room.
