Where Caring Has A Special Meaning
A reception and orientation-ses-
sion for leaders of metro Detroit
district of the Zionist Organiza-
tion of America will be hosted by
George P. Mann, district presi-
dent, and Dr. Ann Mandelbaum-
Mann, on Sunday, May 28, 2:30
p.m. at their home in Franklin.
Guest speaker will be Jacques
Torczyner, honorary president of
the Zionist Organization of Amer-
ica and member of the Executive
of the World Zionist Organiza-
tion.
From 1965 to 1970, Mr. Tor-
czyner served five consecutive
terms as national president of the
ZOA; and from 1974 to 1977, he
was chairman of the American
Section of the World Jewish Con-
gress. At the 28th World Zionist
Congress in Jerusalem, he was
elected a member of the Execu-
tive of the World Zionist Organi-
zation, and in 1974 he was
named chairman of the Theodore
Herzl Institute. He is vice-pres-
ident of the American-Israel
Chamber of Commerce, of which
he is a founder, and is a found-
ing-member of the board of gov-
ernors of State of Israel Bonds.
He also is a Trustee of the Unit-
ed Israel Appeal and a member
of the governing council of the
World Jewish Congress.

Rabbi Herschel Finman will have
a class on the weekly Torah por-
tion of Bamidbar in his home,
23610 Gardner, Oak Park, Sun-
day evening May 28, at 6:30 p.m.
The focus of the class will be the
importance of maintaining
Jewish identity in the communi-
ty.
A class in using faith as a tool
to cope with daily stresses will fol-
low at 7:30 p.m. There is no
charge for either class; both class-
es are open to men and women.
