ichael Weiss of Oak
Park has a long memo-
ry. What happened to
him during his teen-age
years in Europe has colored the
rest of his life.
It is those memories that bring
him and others to the United
Jewish Social Club First & Sec-
ond Generation Survivors. The
UJSC comprises Holocaust sur-
vivors mainly from Czechoslova-
kia, Hungary and Romania. In
its infancy, in the late 1940s, it
was a social group. Members
through the years got together
every other Saturday night. They
also bought Israel Bonds as an Michael Weiss
