A recent camp invention is a
week-long summer camp spon-
sored by the Detroit Science Cen-
ter, which gives young people a
new way to create and invent in
a challenging atmosphere.
At Camp Invention, July 10-
14, July 17-21 or Aug. 7-11,
youngsters will have an oppor-
tunity to tear apart a camera to
find how it works; consider a
problem using natural curiosity
and find a solution; make learn-
ing fun and exciting.
Camp Invention is for chil-
dren who have completed grades
1-5. The hands-on experience
provided will stimulate their cre-
ative abilities, build confidence
and teach them about them-
selves and the world around
them.
The cost for the week-long
camp is $100 for members of the
Detroit Science Center ($80 for
each additional child from the
same family), $150 for non-mem-
bers ($110 for each additional
child from the same family). For
