Charlotte Michaelson

Charlotte Michaelson, 75, of West Bloom-
field, died May 15. Mrs. Michaelson was an ex-
ecutive secretary for the Department of So-
cial Services for the city of Detroit and the State
of Michigan. In January, 1982, Mrs. Michael-
son was the recipient of the Digtinguished
Recognition Award given by the city of Detroit
which is the highest award given by the city to
a private citizen. Mrs. Michaelson was also a
member of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband, David; sons
and daughters-in-law, Dr. Ronald and Jackie
of Farmington Hills, Stuart Michaelson and
Judge Susan Borman of Detroit; daughter and
son-in-law, Marcia and Dr. Stuart Millstone of
Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren, Dr. Jefferey
and Dr. Jodi Michaelson, Jeremy Michaelson,

IRVING AARON, 85, of Oak
Park, died May 11. He is sur-
vived by his wife, Frances; son,
Jules of Los Angeles; daughter
and son-in-law, Susan Aaron
and Harry Taylor of Pleasant
Ridge; grandchild; Jay Taylor.
Memorial contributions may be
directed to the Alzheimers Asso-
ciation. Services and interment
were held at B'nai Israel Memo-
rial Gardens in Novi.

SARAH AVRUSHIN, 80, of
California, died May 9. She is
survived by her beloved hus-
band, Manuel; daughter, Elaine
of California; son, Joel also of
California; sister, Hilda Vinocur
of Southfield; brother and sis-
ter-in-law, Harry and Marion
Avrushin of Southfield; three
grandchildren. Services and in-
terment were held in Los Ange-
les. Arrangements through He-
brew Memorial Chapel.

CHARLES BEDNARSH, 80,
of Southfield, died May 10. He
is survived by his wife, Jennie;
sons and daughters-in-law,
Marvin and Evelyn of South-
field, Phillip and Judith of
Southfield; daughters, Judy Bo-
gorad of Southfield, Linda Bed-
narsh of Ferndale; grandchil-
dren, Lisa, Wendy, Paul, Scott,
Pamela, Shawn and Stefanie.
Memorial contributions may be
directed to a charity of one's
choice. Services and interment
were held at Workmen's Circle
Cemetery in Mt. Clemens.

MORRIS BERG, 86, of Cassel-
berry, Fla., died May 10. He is
survived by his wife, Jennie of
Casselberry; sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, Albert and Marcia
of Winter Springs, Fla., David
and Micki of Detroit; daughters
and sons-in-law, Falene and

Jill Millstone, Chelsea Millstone and Johanna
Borman; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and
Ben Racklin of Southfield; brothers, Martin
Gorosh of Southfield, Leonard Gorosh of Mo-
bile, Ala.

Her dedication was a source of
pride to her family.

JULIAN GARVIL, 91, of Ann
Arbor, died May 12, Mr. Garvil
was an aeronautics engineer.
He was the devoted father of
the late George Garvil. Mr.
Garvil is survived by his wife,
Miriam. Interment at Arbor-
crest Cemetery in Ann Arbor.

HAROLD HANDLER, 70, of
Southfield, died May 16. Mr.
Handler was an insurance
salesman. He was the beloved
husband of the late Bernice
Handler. Mr. Handler is sur-

Sinai of Huntington Woods; son
and daughter-in-law, Ira and
Jammy of Ft. Worth, Texas;
grandchildren, Samantha and
Claire Sinai and Jeanie and
Billy Handler. Interment at
Machpelah Cemetery.

SHELDON HARRIS, 73, for-
mer Detroiter of Bay City, died
May 13. Mr. Harris played
baseball and basketball for
Lawrence Tech as well as the
Detroit Old Timers. He was a
referee for the Michigan High
School Athletic Association. He
was a member of Bay City
Lodge No. 88 BPOE.
He is survived by his wife,
