Recognizing that these kinds of situations can cause tremen- dous stress, a trained parent rep- resentative from Keshet will made telephone contact with these families and then visit them either at home or in the hospital. In addition to providing needed support, these parent rep- resentatives can refer families to appropriate community resources when necessary. Keshet is a non-profit organi- zation which provides informa- tion, support and advocacy services for families who have children of any age with disabil- ities of any kind.
