their daughter, Taal, to Todd Eric
Lowy, son of Suzanne Lowy of
Pleasant Ridge and Ron Lowy of
West Bloomfield. Todd's grand-
mother is Dorothy Schechter of
West Bloomfield.
Taal earned a bachelor's de-
gree in international studies at
Washington University in St.
Louis. She is completing her law
studies as a visiting student at

Hastings College of the Law in
San Francisco and will graduate
from DePaul College of Law in
Chicago this June.
Todd completed his under-
graduate degree in Near Eastern
studies at the University of
Michigan. He is a Korets Fel-
lowship recipient in a Hebrew
and Arabic comparative litera-
ture doctoral program at Uni-
versity of California, Berkeley.
An August wedding is planned
in Chicago.
